About WSAVT

The WSAVT is a non-profit organization which represents veterinary technicians, veterinary technician students, and veterinary assistants in Washington State.

Our Purpose is to:

  • Promote the profession of veterinary technology.
  • Foster continuing education programs with the objective of disseminating the importance of proper and current practices for veterinary technicians.
  • Maintain and improve the social and economic standard of veterinary technicians.
  • Promote positive legislation and to speak for veterinary technicians in regard to legislative actions.
  • Establish and facilitate efficient cooperation between WSAVT and other veterinary medical organizations.
  • Establish and maintain a ventral bureau for reference and assistance in matters pertaining to veterinary technicians and the veterinary profession.

 

Educate

To educate the public about and promote veterinary technology.
