WA Veterinary Board of Governors

The Veterinary Board of Governors is made up of nine members, six DVMs, one LVT, one DVM or LVT, and, one public member, which are all appointed by the governor.  The licensed veterinary members must be state residents in active practice as licensed practitioners of veterinary medicine, surgery, and dentistry and must be U.S. citizens.  Not more than one licensed veterinary member shall be from the same congressional district.  The licensed veterinary technician must be trained in both large and small animal medicine.  The licensed veterinary technician member is a non-voting member concerning board decisions related to the discipline of veterinarians involving standard of care.
